Physical Education is key component of our Hudson Curriculum and is an essential part of the National Curriculum. A great amount of investment has been made in PE and Sport this year and our families will be seeing the school providing more opportunities to develop children’s skills and experiences. Hudson is aiming high to get our children, healthy and involved in an active lifestyle, fostering a love and appreciation for competition and physical development.
Children will have timetabled PE throughout each term, and some classes will have two hours of planned PE each week, with others also participating in Forest School activities on a termly basis. PE will take the form of gymnastics, dance, swimming, athletics, fitness and games skill development.
PE kit needs to be kept in a small kit or draw string bag, labelled with your child’s name and left on their own individual peg outside their classroom for the whole half term. If children are not prepared for PE then they will be required to borrow a school kit if there is one available for them. A Hudson PE bag can be purchased from the school office for £2.
Children will only be able to be non participants of weekly PE lessons if they have a medical letter or physical injury that could cause further injury if they were to participate.
