PTFA

Registered Charity number: 1156873

The aim of the PTFA is to help and support the school by raising money to fund items and experiences that the childen might otherwise not have.

We have a small committee made up of parents, friends and staff who attend meetings at least once every half term to discuss upcoming events, new ideas and proposals from the school for where the money raised needs to be spent. Meetings are currently held on a Monday at 3.30 and last no more than an hour. We also have a group of family members who are able to help us out regularly at events, we are open to family views and welcome any support we are given.

Each year we now fund transport and subsidies to take all the children in KS1 and KS2 to a local Pantomime at Christmas, we run a Valentine Disco, Autumn Disco, and provide treats, prizes and presents to each child at Easter and Christmas respectively. Our busiest times are Christmas and the Summer. At Christmas time we have the usual Christmas Fair, along with Christmas Bingo and Tea with Santa, while Summer sees us running our annual fair after Sports Day. And that's not all, we are also there at every performance the children give selling refreshments.

We, as a committee, believe that the PTFA is an important part of our Hudson family, and that, even if it is something small, we can make a difference to a child's experience at Hudson.  We understand that everyone leads busy lives, but we just try to do what we can, when we can and everything we do is with the future and memories of the children in mind.
