Regular school attendance is essential for children to learn, make progress and thrive. Missing school can affect a child's learning, routines, friendships and ability to keep up with their classmates.

We understand that there may be occasions when a child needs to be absent from school because of exceptional circumstances. Requests for absence are considered on an individual basis and are not automatically authorised.
