Ofsted Reports

Hudson Primary School was inspected by Ofsted on 18 and 19 July 2023 and was judged to be a Good school, with all inspection areas judged Good, including Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management and Early Years Provision.

Inspectors recognised the warm and caring relationships across the school, noting that pupils feel safe, staff know pupils well and most pupils, including those with SEND, achieve well. Our ambitious curriculum, strong reading culture, positive behaviour, personal development and specialist provision for pupils with SEND were all highlighted positively. Inspectors also judged our safeguarding arrangements to be effective.

The inspection identified clear areas for continued improvement, including addressing remaining gaps in some pupils’ reading and subject knowledge, and strengthening attendance. These areas continue to inform our ongoing school improvement work.
