Choosing the right nursery for your child is an important decision and at Hudson Primary School we believe that the early years are the foundation for a lifetime of learning, confidence and success. Our school nursery provides a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, explore and grow as part of our school community.

Starting nursery is an exciting milestone for both children and their families. Our aim is to make this transition a happy, positive and reassuring experience, giving every child the best possible start to their education.

Our nursery gives children the opportunity to become familiar with the school environment from an early age, helping them to develop a sense of belonging and confidence before they begin Reception.

Being part of a primary school means that our nursery children can become familiar with the school, its routines, our staff and the wider community from the very beginning.

 

They have the opportunity to build relationships with teachers and other children, making the transition into Reception feel more natural and less daunting.

By the time children move into Reception, they are already familiar with many aspects of school life, helping them to settle with confidence and enthusiasm.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, supporting children to develop essential skills through purposeful play, exploration and engaging learning experiences. Our experienced staff focus on nurturing communication, independence, social skills, physical development and a love of learning.

Children are encouraged to be curious, ask questions, solve problems and develop the confidence they need to thrive.

Meet our team and learning environment

Our Nursery teaching team is led by Mrs Kelly, along with Mrs Sealey, Mrs Wilson and Mrs Hoyles. The team are passionate about creating a nurturing, inspiring and fun learning environment where every child feels valued, supported and excited to learn and grow.

We would love to meet you! - Come and see what makes our Nursery so special

We have three open events each year giving parents a chance to see our facilities, meet our staff and take a tour of our classroom, outside play area and Forest School environment. We would love to welcome you and your child, please book onto our next open event which is being held on Monday 30th November 2026 from 4.00pm.
