Safeguarding
Keeping Children Safe at Hudson
At Hudson Primary School, safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. We have a whole-school commitment to promoting the safety, welfare and wellbeing of every child.
We work hard to create an environment where children feel safe, respected, listened to and confident to speak to a trusted adult. Our safeguarding practice is underpinned by our school expectations of being Ready, Respectful and Safe.
We take a proactive approach to safeguarding and work closely with children, families, staff, governors and external agencies to identify concerns early and ensure that children receive the right support.

Niki Craddock – Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead

-
Rebecca Kidd – Senior Early Help Worker and Designated Safeguarding Lead

If You Have a Safeguarding Concern
If you are worried about the safety or welfare of a child, please contact the school and ask to speak to a member of the Designated Safeguarding Team.
If you believe a child is at immediate risk of harm, contact the emergency services or the appropriate safeguarding service without delay.
Online Safety for Parents and Carers
Technology plays an important part in children's learning, communication and entertainment. Helping children to understand how to use technology safely and responsibly is therefore an important part of our safeguarding work.
We have provided a collection of online safety guides and resources for parents and carers to help you:
-
understand current online risks;
-
support positive and healthy digital habits;
-
talk to your child about their online experiences;
-
understand privacy, gaming, social media and online communication;
-
know what to do if something online causes concern.
By working together, we can help children enjoy the benefits of technology while developing the knowledge, confidence and skills they need to stay safe, secure and responsible in the digital world.
