Pupil Premium
What is Pupil Premium?
Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government to support eligible pupils and help schools address the barriers that can affect their learning, attainment, progress and wider educational experiences.
The funding is intended to support schools in ensuring that pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds have the same opportunities to succeed as their peers.
Pupil Premium funding is primarily allocated to pupils who are eligible for Free School Meals or have been eligible for Free School Meals within the specified period, as well as eligible pupils who are looked after or who have previously been looked after. Additional funding is also available for eligible pupils from service families.
At Hudson Primary School, we use our Pupil Premium funding as part of a wider strategy to support the academic, social and emotional needs of our disadvantaged pupils. This includes targeted support, high-quality teaching, attendance and engagement strategies, enrichment opportunities and support for individual barriers to learning.
